It's Writing Time Again

Yes, it's easy to be negative, but I will promise that with every negative article I create I will create a positive one. That is a promise I've made and broken in the past, but I'm really going to try hard this time. Really hard!

So on a "positive" note, here are the things I like about Astoria and the surrounding area:
KMUN, The River Theater, The Bridge, The River, T-Pauls Urban Cafe, The Lewis and Clark Area, Hip-Fish, The Sunday Market, The River Walk.

There, now that the positive article is out of the way I can focus on something else.

I think you are depressing. Yes I did make a judgement call. (Forgive me Lord.) Yes I am a Christian and live in the joyful presence of His Grace. Christianity is in no way one step behind Nazism. You must be mad. Are there hypocrites Christians? You bet there are. What makes you or I any beter than the rest of us? You need to consider this--we are all sinners. We were born into it. It is called the common denonminator. Seek Jesus face and ask for forgiveness of your sins and live in the presence of His Grace. There is nothing like it. BTW: There is no marriage in heaven. It doesn't matter how often you married here on earth (hopefully due to loss of a spouse and not Larry King Syndrom) I can't tell you what heaven will be like. But I do know this, it is a far cry better than hell. Imagine this,no pain, sickness, sorrow, tears, sin. Just joy.
In case you want to know, I am not a minister in the sense that I pastor a church or anything like that. I'm just sharing with you that there is no possibility of hope here on eath without Jesus. I found this out 20 years ago. If you ever care to know about it e-mail me. I hope you will find this note worthy. ---- Pete

Pete, turn the other cheek and walk away. If you go to a church that uses words like Pagan, and Christendom; you are a Nazi. If you truely were following the teachings of Jesus you would not have so many non-positive things to say about things other than you and your faith. No, I am not mad, angry yes. And I think it is a big balls move to tell me I am a sinner. You don't even know me, and if you look through the blinders you call the ten commandmants, tell me what sin I am guilty of? So like Nazism you are condemming all those who do not goose step in the name of your lord.

Hell is a concept by Dante. And an eternity of all Joy, who could possibly stand that? If there is a heaven I want to be able to participate in all the sins I denied myself on earth.

Paul, all are welcome. Do understand that my comments above still stand. BTW I like what I've seen of your blog. I almost moved to Hillsboro years ago and I'm glad I didn't.

Thanks. I enjoy your blog too.
I agree with a lot of what you (the guy who writes this) said in this post- it is not a Christian's right to condemn someone who is not. A LOT of people who call themselves Christians do that. But that's not what Christ was about. Worry about yourself. Telling other people they are evil doesn't really do much to advance Christ's message. Loving and respecting people does.

P.S. T Paul's rocks and I can't wait until the next time I can get back there.

Thanks, Paul. It's all about writing, the blog that is. Sometimes I just need to get words out of my head, so this is where they end up.

There's nothing going on here now the Sunday Market is finished for the year, but it staarts up again next Mother's Day. Hopefully no dogs next year.

Man it is so strange getting comments on articles this old. Had I not had comments forwarded to my e-mail I never would have found your comments.

Anyway, when I find something of interest I'll post it on the blog, so you may want to check in and post a question in comments on a daily story if you want advice on things to do here.

You're a fucking prick who just spouts out negativity all day. Get a life, get off the computer and get laid so maybe you won't be such a hateful person. Or maybe you can just find a nice big stick and sit on it, relieve some of that angry stress you have bottled up inside.

You sound pretty hateful yourself, but I do thank you for returning day after day and reading my posts. I miss reading your blogs. Do you have a new one you'd like to share?

Lovies,
Guy

KMUN, The River Theater, The Bridge, The River, T-Pauls Urban Cafe, The Lewis and Clark Area, Hip-Fish, The Sunday Market, The River Walk.

You love all of these things? 3 1/2 years later????

Interesting you should ask. I no longer like KMUN because of all their on-air editorializing. The River Theater is now closed. The Luis and Clark area has been ruined by too much building. Hip Fish sucks because it totally lacks objectivity and all their writers have agendas. I no longer go the the Sunday Market because there are too many people that bring their dogs there. I haven't been on the River walk in years, but i suppose it is still nice. Urban Cafe is still my favorite place to eat. The Bridge and the River are still the Bridge and the River. Thanks for the question.
