Sick Day XI

I’m sick of TV. I’m sick that the price of my Dish has risen again to $85 per month and I’m going to go back to a really basic package as long as it has RFD-TV. I’m totally sick of seeing all the things Oprah has her paws on; books, magazines, products, films, Dr Phil, I’m sick of that rat bastard as well. I totally sick of the Celtic Women; come on PBS, enough of them already and while we’re at it, isn’t it time to start running some different BBC shows on Saturday night. Please, the Bucket woman makes me sick. I’m sick that so many blogs that I used to read are totally dedicated to American Idol. If I cared about the show, I’d watch it. Get a life bloggers!

I was sick about all the over promotion of Heartland at the Liberty. If they were that good the concert would have sold out months ago. Thank goodness it is now over. Next time book something that will sell out so we won’t have to put up with the endless promotion.

Every brand of tractor has a 0% for 36 months program.
Take that $85.00 that you're flushing every month and after 36 months $3060.00 will go against your dream tractor.
Make that $3000.00 and buy a $60.00 TV antennia.
:-Q

Jeez Guy what kinda channels are you getting to cost $85 a month?
Wait...don't tell me that.....

Anyway I can't wait for internet T.V. that will throw a monkey wrench in the Cable/Dish scam.

I'm sick of "friends" that never return E-mails, or change E-mail addresses and do not inform their "friends".

It's refreshing to see you back on a rant.

We pay over $100.00 for cable TV - it's all about "the packages." You want channels X,Y & Z? Then you gotta pay for all the hundreds of others.

I don't even watch TV very often - no regular shows except NHL games (Toronto Maple Leafs).

The picture you posted is gross - very effective in getting your point across!

It's the Dish Network 180 stations plus HBO. I admit there hasn't been a film on HBO worth watching, but the Sunday line-up with Rome, Sopranos, Deadwood, Carnivale and shows like that made it worth the money.

So no, Tryan, I'm not getting what you suspect.

Beth, considering the exchange rate $84 US is probably something like $100 Ca, so we're both getting hosed.

Gearhead, you are so right. I really do need to start reading more, and get a new back hoe.

Also folks, I'm running out of vomit photos, so if you come across any send them my way. Can't have a sick day without a vomit photo.

And Gearhead, that goes for imaginary friends as well. Rat bastards all of em.

The days are getting longer and soon Pacific Daylight Savings begins...I hope to emerge from the dark room and glow of the TV and rediscover the great outdoors. Sounds like you need that too. :) Either that or try watching Ellen. She's kinda funny. With that little dance and all she does.

Gee, Guy - I think you outdid yourself on this photo. Even though I have been awake for hours and just now laid my peepers on it I almost had to reach for the trash can.

I am gonna draw you a piece of good 'sick day art' (what a weird term?) for you to use whenever you feel the need.

What's up with that dancing thing she does? Is there a story behind it? She doesn't strike me as someone who has been trained in dance, or that she even has any interesting movements. It's nothing that will ever make a sick day post, maybe a WTF post...

Yes, L. I like the photos I use to drive home a point. This is an article about being sick of stuff, and I like to share this sickness with others. I will be happy to run your sick day art. Hey, where the heck has Portosan been lately. He did that great image for me in December. Port, you still out there?

Guy

I can bring over a bottle of Vodka and have my camera ready to capture a vomit picture.

TH - what a nice gesture - you would vomit for art's sake?

Guess there's hope for you after all.

I like Ellen as well. I think she dances because she loves it - so she incorporates it in her show.
And as a former Oprah-worshipper, I have to agree. I am so sick of her Almighty Attitude.
Now about that picture - it looks like he intentionally threw up on his friend. And while it makes him look like an asshole I have to admit, I too have thrown up on a friend. Luckily, it wasn't captured on film. At least, not that I know of.

I'd fall asleep before drinking enough to purge.

Sorry folks, but that photo is disgusting, but it needed to be used. I promise a tamer illustration next time.

I think this Vomit for Art thing sounds like another blogger meeting.

I am sick of greedy people. I was reading this article on how finding oil in Nigeria should have helped people but the poor have only gotten poorer. I hate banks who try to make you overdraft than lay on the fees. I say go UK in their class action suit.

I am sick of people who block the supermarket aisles chitty chattying. Move outta the way, I've got three kids and only five minutes to shop for the week before one of them melts down and YOU complain about the noise!

Mo3, I don't exclusively own "Sick Day" and you are more than welcome to have sick days on your blog as well. Your sick items are not only valid, but perfect. I love your writing.
