Dennis Richardson is an asshole and a Douche bag... Driving back home from Portland on 26 tonight I saw that there was at least one of those political signs for his bid for governor every mile and some even closer than a mile. This was from Hillsboro all the way to Cannon Beach Junction. At least 70 or 80 signs in total which are destined to become more land fill; that is if his supporters ever go back to reclaim them from littering one of the most beautiful roads in Oregon. Richardson, your campaign has more money that the organizers have brains. I hope he doesn't even make it past the primary...Douche... I mean really, when has a political lawn sign ever convinced people to vote for any particular candidate. I know the more signs I see the less likely I will for the candidate...even if I liked them in the beginning.

I realize why the signs were put up now and that is to impress people who were going to the Dorchester conference. They are all douche bags...
I'm with you on lawn signs being a blight in this neighborhood at least. I refuse to put one up. Wasteful, ugly, and unnecessary.

I haven't been to Dorchester in a few years, but when I went I had a good time. Next time I go, I'm going to bring you along so you have first hand knowledge of the event rather than making assumptions! I guarantee you'll have a good time, one way or another!!

Jeff,I've been to such events on both sides of the political isle. My comparison is that the Republicans drink more expensive booze and their wives are blond. The Democrats have more pedestrian tastes and their wives are more or less...hippies. Not that there is anything wrong with that...unless they wear patchouli oil. The one thing where they are the same is they are willing to bend the truth for short term political advantage and both are totally unwilling to jump off their platform even when something is a good idea. I just watched a documentary on Sarah Palin called "You Betcha" and it seemed that the evil in this woman is shared by most involved in politics today, both sides of the isle. Some just hide it better than others and since she isn't so bright she can't hide it at all. So in conclusion I have little interest in hanging out with a bunch of opportunists, even if their wives are hot and fun to look at.
I drove 26 yesterday and all the signs are gone. Looks like he reads his email...
Katzhelper and his shack-up girlfriend are douch bags as well.

Yeah, good luck with that, Gearhead. Your best chance for that is if the rural Valley and Eastern Oregon will need to start your own state and call it West Utah.

There are many different types of people and different viewpoints.
For example, Lars Larson and I will both vote for Richardson, THAT I can say for sure.
At the same time, You and Josh Marquis will both be voting for Katzhelper.
Maybe it's all about birds of a feather....

Don't put me in with Josh. He up to a lot of shenanigans here trying to ban dispensaries. He's a total douche. And Lars won't be voting for anyone ion Oregon. He lives in Vancouver.
And what makes you think Josh is a Democrat? He may be registered as one in the county, but I think that is so he will get more votes from the majority party in the county. He was appointed by a Republican Governor. He is pro-death penalty, he gums up the gears of local politics, he got married on Lars Larson's boat and the clincher is his wife has blond hair. He is a Republican.

Richardson is a douchebag because he acts and campaigns like a douchebag.
He has been emailing me several times per week for months now and his "unsubscribe" button doesn't seem to work.
His emails are the worst lowbrow emotionally charged tripe you can imagine. He never talks issues - his email are a bizarre combination of basically just lying about Kitzhaber's record while trying to drop enough social-media Web 2.0 jargon to try to appear "hip for the kiddies".
He is a sad lost lying old douchebag. How have we come to a place in which guys like Richardson can be in the running for the most important political seat in Oregon. It's surreal. If he wins, then it means that there are more idiots per capita in this state than I'd have imagined possible.
True that. When he sends you a group email, reply to all. I sent him this article just before I unsubscribed to his email and I am now off his list.
Why would there be a need to "lie" about Katzhelper's record?
Honestly laying out his record, issue by issue trashes any rational voter's support as it is.
But I would agree; if Dennis Richardson felt that he actually had to lie about the Katzhelper to draw distinction, he's an idiot!
Well I for one think it is damn disrespectful to talk down our standing governor as some do.
He has done his very best even if things didn't always work out as planned. He worked hard on that bridge. Too bad it failed. The Cover-up Oregon website? Who really understands the World Wide Web? The blocked execution? Hey, we already kill enough babys and elderly. Funneling contracts to his girlfriend? Hearsay!
I say; quit throwing mud and spend more time saluting the flag!

My only wish is that Richardson would have gone a step further and did what a frat house that I once frequented did and while they had him dangling upside-down, stuck his head in the toilet and flushed it!
