Who's That Knocking at My Door

I think it was Quandle Queen that mentioned she wanted to see a photo of my chickens looking in the window. Here is a Buff Orpington that just finished pecking at the window trying to get my attention. These yellow hens are my favorite by far. They actually come up to me looking to be petted. I can pick them up without them ever complaining.

I like my orp too,she and the barred rock are te best layers with the most intelligence. My rescue Americana is stupid even for a chicken and headed for the stew pot if she doesn't start laying again soon. The wyanndottes are just freakin' evil, they pick on everyone including my dogs.

Okay, so they don't complain, but do they nibble, peck, bite?

I have photos of my orpinton hens looking in our windows. I call them the "stalkers". They look in the windows and follow me around outside. I beleive that the buffs have the best personalities of all the chickens we've had.

Darev, they eat everything in sight and they keep at it all day long.

Critter, I can't tell who is laying what though I can see differing degrees in growth of waddles and combs. The breeds all seem to get along together.

Q, It's funny when there is a bunch of them looking in.

Beth, no, they are pretty calm.

Jenn, they are my favorites, but they are so passive I'm surprised they don't get picked on. If you walk up to them they lay down and don't run away.

Dalia, That is when they and I were younger, I now pick up hens.

Linda,
She and her three sister Buff Orpington are my favorites. They are the most curious and the friendliest. Great egg prodecers, too.
