Spoiled Rotten
I find it interesting when someone describes themselves or others in an endearing way by using the term “Spoiled Rotten.”
When you look at it, neither word in the phrase is nice. Spoilage is waste and rottenness is a state of decomposition.
Maybe I’m warped, (or so I’ve been told) but when I hear that someone is spoiled rotten I immediately picture them with mold growing from their decomposing head.

Growing up, my mother didn't use the phrase "spoiled rotten" - she referred to us as "selfish young pups." I knew it was a negative term but I always kind of liked the visual.
The world would probably be better off if those "spoiled rotten" WERE in the process of decomposition.
That is the coolest mold I've ever seen!

Spoiled rotten has to do with sugar, and how it rots teeth, I always thought.
