Someone Call Child Protective Services!

Occasionally one of the readers delurks and drops me a line and sends a photo. Danielle, who is the partner of my nephew, Dave sent this photo of her six month old daughter, Ava reading the Burt’s Bees post. Thanks for sharing the photo and kind words, Danielle. It's hard to believe I'm a Grand Uncle.

Irish, actually I'm not. I rarely ever get in touch with family members, they tend to get in touch with me. Somehow word about this blog got out to several nephews and nieces so they know what I'm up to, and that's usually enough for them. I don't know when any of their birthdays are. I usually get my updates on them through their parents. Though Robb and Danielle will occasionally email me.

Imagine that, Hahn at Home in Astoria. It's pretty cool that so many bloggers and coat-tail bloggers are coming to Astoria this year. Next up after today, Critter and Darev's daughter. The funny things is that I haven't met most of the local bloggers.

She's excited about the trip. And scared to death about her first solo plane trip. Try not to freak her out too much. I'm trying to convince her that Oregon is a better place to live than Mizzery.

I hope Critter does fun stuff with her and takes her places. I'll get them drunk when they are here. That will be memorable.

My daughter is still underage, even by oregon standards. Don't make me come out there!

Ha Ha, if only I would have taken Ava's photo with the flaming middle finger posting. Good stuff. You'll be known as the cool great Uncle that's a bk, likes cool music and hates a pot luck. What's better than that?

Auntie, that can go either way, either unforgettable or coma inducing.

Darev, Duh...You want her to have an unforgettable trip, don't you?

Daniel, you're leaving out that I don't like dogs, eating in public, sunshine...and a dozen or so other phobias or antisocial traits.
