Happy Birthday Heather

I have been corresponding with Heather Kathleen from A Mouthy Irish Woman? Ridiculous! Today is her birthday. Happy Birthday, Darlin!

Anyway, we were having a discussion about something I wrote long ago on how remarkable every days is and if you don’t find something remarkable about a day, then it wasn’t much of a day at all.

If you reply to this post please make note of something that makes today a remarkable day unlike all others. I want to show her that her birthday has been a remarkable day for others as well.

It's a remarkable day for me because I exercised Blue early today, with temps in the 40's. Brrr. Came in, got to my computer, and saw I had left your blog open. So if you see that I was here for however long, you'll know I was spending that length of time with my horse.

Remarkable? I'm not sure about remarkable, but still very good. When I awoke today (granted it was only 30 minutes ago) I discovered new posts from my friends on their blogs. I discovered new comic strips to read, new games to play, new puzzles to solve and new things to make to make me gasp with wonder and awe. And that is just at my computer. Were I to walk away from it I would discover a whole world of new and exciting things. Who knows what I would find? A long lost buried Templar treasure in my front yard? A puma in my potatoes? A butterfly? There's always something remarkable if you look for it.
Happy Birthday Heather Kathleen, you saucy Irish wench. Let me have a good look and I'll find something remarkable. Trust me.

I'll start, though it is early. As I finished checking on the horses and chickens this morning there was an octopus in the sky, or actually the clouds formed the abstract image of an octopus. It was hard to see because it was still pretty dark, but I was reminded that just as the stars are out when it is day light though we can't see them, clouds still form to make abstract images at night when we cant see them. This mornings octopus sighting made today a unique day aside from the rest.

Wow, this is the best birthday gift you have given anyone, I believe, Guy.

This day started out special because it started with me climbing into my 5 year old's bed and snuggling him until he was awake. His morning breath was bad, but when you are a mom you don't care about such things. After loads of hugs and kisses from 5 year old, 11 year old asked to be "hugged" so she could wake up as well. After even more I loves you Mommy's from my pre-teen, we stepped out into the beautiful Autumn air and off of the porch towards the car to begin our day. Across, was a grassy expanse filled with low lying mist and gamboling about were a Doe, her two Spring fawns and her two more recent Summer fawns.

Happy Birthday HC !

today is remarkable for me because:
a) i remember to cover the wood pile before it rained (making me a genius)
2) we are having fish-n-chips tonight ...this alone makes a day remarkable.
and c) i am wearing a silly hat.

Remarkable? Everyday something remarkable happens.
Last night my son stopped by my job and said "love you mom" before leaving the building in front of a dozen plus people. :)
This morning I woke up after not having nightmares about bubble wrap.
Woke up to a warm and comfortable home.
Was greeted by my meowing pussy.
Received an exciting new assignment to work on for Monday......the list goes on and on.
The day has been filled by awesomeness!!
Happy Birthday Heather :)

Looking back to yesterday, I can now say the most remarkable thing about yesterday was that Cliff and I took care of our cremation arrangements. So that's what WE did to make Heather's birthday special!

Wow! Everybody! Thanks for playing along. Donna, this wasn't a competition, but I think you won in the most memorable once in a lifetime kind of a day reply.
