The Unseen

Sometimes it takes decades before any notices certain changes. One thing I recently noticed is that it is now 2007 and it has been years since I’ve heard anyone talk about actually seeing a UFO. (by the way, anyone recognize the ship in the photo above?)

It used to be nearly everyone claimed to have seen one back in the 60s, 70s and 80s, but now you’d think that the number of sightings would still be the same and there would be better documentation since most people have cameras in their cell phones and most places on Earth now have constant video monitoring. There are all these collection devices, yet nothing new ever comes out.

Are the alien aviators shy because they now realize that they will be photographed? Or are they all gone now the Cold War is over?

It’s a good thing the image of the Virgin Mary still shows up on the occasional grilled cheese sandwich, so some can continue believing in things that aren’t really there.

I recently took a ride on a private airplane and flew over Astoria.

From the air, the mouth of the Columbia to St. Helens looks and in our oppinion is the image of the Virgin Mary. It is really quite amazing if not mirraculus.

Port, I was wondering about the red tide last summer.

OC I saw that story right after I posted this article. Notice that no one got a photo of it.

Lelo, I can get you one of the Our Lady of Guadaloop (sp) stickers for your car if you like. Hey, wasn't there a bridge column in Portland that had a Mary visit last year?

Apparently the recent UFO in Chicago decided to leave because all the gates were full:

That's because there are few cell phone cameras there.

By the way, Lee, I'm loving your drawings.

OK the space ship is the United Planets Cruiser C-57D from the Forbidden Planet.

All of the original sightings were probably true.
But as our visitors viewed our ugly society and all of the ways we have found to kill each other, they realized that the beutiful world that had captivated them for so long was a death trap.
Too bad, they thought;
It sure looked like a paradise for peaceful life.
Oh well.......

Gearhead, as long as people have been here it hasn't been peaceful. Makes me wonder just how far we can take this whole thing.

Art Bell?, Mo3, you really must start going to bed earlier ; )

Okay, okay, I DID see a UFO. It was in Dec. 2005, and my son and daughter-in-law saw it, too. So I guess that makes all 3 of us in the lineup for crackpot heaven. I blogged about it, and then in January my son made a drawing of it that I posted. It was a VERY strange experience!
