Rain and Ice

We had a frost on Thursday. This is when I wish I had built a three-hundred bale storage barn. Right now I’m storing hay in my garage where my truck should be. I fear I will have to invest in an ice scrapper instead this year.

I know most people don’t park in a garage, but I love it because you never have to deal with frost. You don’t need to rush to get in your truck when it’s raining, and most of all your vehicle gets to dry off. It is so wet out here in the winter that one of my cars actually grew a fern on its bumper.

Maybe I’ll be able to park inside again next year, but for this year it’s more important to have dry hay than a dry truck. It looks like I'll need to purchase an ice scrapper.

I do miss having a garage. We turned our two car garage first into a sign shop and then into two bedrooms for the foster kids and now back into a sign shop slash office. I spend more time in my garage then I do in my house. Hey, it's where my comfy chair is.....

I got a really neat one for christmas a year or two ago.( I had griped so bad about others stepping on my old one and breaking it.)I's entendable, with a swivel end and foam grips....it is an awsome scrapper...neener

You know what they say.

There are those who park in their garage and those who don't.

I don't.
Never have.

Funny things is, i've never lived somewhere that DIDN'T have a garage. It's always been my shop. Or now, reconverted to a family room where I'm typing this from.

I too have grown some interesting flora in various nooks and crannies of my vehicles.

I tried to email you...a no go. Yahoo doesn't seem to like "bbpress@intergrate.com". Anyway, you can email me at sagercreekranch@yahoo.com

I have 50-100 bales I can sell, I can also point you in another direction for more :)

Don't come to California looking for an ice scraper - though it would be nice to see you - they not only don't have them - most of them don't know what they look like.

Darev, Maybe you could build another garage and not use that one either.

Loopy, I bet you need an industrial scraper where you live.

g, I usually grow things in the left over hay in the bed of the pick-up and I'm thinking of adding a little top soil hand planting a garden in my truck next year.

Ginger, yahoo hates getting email from me as well, but I'll give it a try.

Rub it is Lori, rub it in.

I must have a garage. I told my wife that our next house must have a 2 car garage. she could care less... but I am so ..hmm...nuerotic that even her car has to be in a garage.
Luckily where we are now - we have a 2 car with a huge back bay for the tractor and other lawn and garden equipement. It also has an attic for storage and a room for the kids to hang out in with TV and heat and such. I am garage-spoiled.
