I'll Face It, Finally

OK, ya Rat Bastards, I did it. Face Book as Guy Whowritesthis. I'll give a month to see if it gets interesting. I still don't get it.

Hey, how is this for a lame post. OK so this won't be a total waste of a post I'll tell you what's in the CD player these days. I'm kinda hooked on the Flobots recording Fight With Tools. Those of you that are Rap resistant may want to come back tomorrow when I'll have another topic.

The Flobots are a political Rap group that uses the interesting texture of violins and cellos in a lot of their music. Sure the lyrics are somewhat angry, but that's rap. It's real, besides happy-sun-shinny rap would suck, like Christian Punk and virgin bloody marys.

I wouldn't put them in my all time top-100, but they are an interesting listen and well worth the time spent. The tunes are great for the middle age Caucasian ear that is used to folks like Nellie McKay and They Might Be Giants. There is a lot of interesting stuff going on at all times especially for those with short attention spans like me. Handlebars is an exquisite song.

You joined Facebook?!! I've been dragging my heels on that for the past six months. Friends and family - "Do it!" But why?
(Maybe with a time limit?)

Still No on facebook. I got enough things need tinkering with, don't need to add another. Good luck, tho. Just went and watched the "Handlebars" video. Not bad. For rap, anyway. I normally don't like rap, but that was listenable. I'll go check out some more. Thanks, guy!

OK folks, calm down, I'm there but as of yet I'm not digging it. I mean some messages show up on my email that don't show up on face book, some messages show up on FB and then they suddenly disappear never to be found again. And Moosehead, I know you have a profile, and I'm sure Auntie would love to hear from you. Auntie, We've chatted before on email or the forum chat page.

Darev, yes I saw two of the several videos for that song and they were really good.

I'm sorry...I don't get facebook. I check email...I check your blog...and mom of 3...the occasional DA and NCO (just to see if they are writing scandalous crap about our school...I noticed they didn't post about the recent ethics violations..hhmmmm?) other than that, I'm busy doing dishes, vacuuming, laundry, taking care of kids, animals, the occasional fire call, you know...life. I like our myspace page...it was fun at the time setting it up...but I don't check it that often. I guess I'm boring.

Just don't respond to requests to DO stuff. I now feel OBLIGATED to send a stupid seed back to a cousin I haven't talked to in three years because I know it will start a family battle if I ignore it and I don't even GET what the heck it is for!

NCO didn't write anything on the "ethic violation" yet because I still haven't gotten the report from the ethics council, even though I've emailed them WEEKLY for a year since Jacobson sent in the complaint. I do have 1/2 the story and even tho DA writes 1/2 stories I don't like to unless it is all I can get and people still want to know SOMETHING. Didn't know that the whole series we did on Jewell's month of hell was scandalous CRAP, Ginger, guess the Daily A and the Oregonian's coverage of it was adequate for you.

Darev, she pretends they are mine.

Ginger, you are a mom, you don't have time for crap.

CB, I have no idea of what your first paragraph means. As for the second paragraph, I don't think that people realize that are pretty much the sole writer for NCO and you are spread pretty thin. Thanks for all you do.

CB's reference was to these silly applications they have on Facebook, where you can "send" someone a virtual thing. I haven't accepted a single one since I see it as just plain clutter. If anyone wants to friend me, (especially CB!), I'd be honored. My email is mcgiz2@yahoo.com
