Tweets

Tweets, any of you that are following me on Twitter, don’t bother. I’ll probably never return there. I joined to see what it was all about and found it to be a bigger waste of time than Facebook. I mean, really! Isn’t blogging enough? How many social networks does one need?

The only reason I’ve been checking into Facebook is because I am nosy and I want to see who is ”friends” with whom. Yep, I’m nosy and catty and often say to myself things like, “I can’t believe they have “that” person as a friend. You know, you can’t choose your family but you can choose your friends. I guess some folks are into quantity.

I don’t know, but I’m thinking that what FB is doing in comparison to blogging is what text messages does to letter writing. Entries seem to be totally made of fluff with little thought or heart. It’s all good though, because some people don’t get blogs. Frankly sometimes I don’t get blogging either.

I probably shouldn't even comment, since i didn't get into twitter. Personally, I don't have enough to do in my life, raising children, keeping two homes, driving family members around, and now, I find out that garbage pick-up will be slowed to a bi-weekly schedule....now i get to figure out where to store stinky garbage....life is good.

You don’t strike me as a Twitter/Tweet type but then I never thought of you as nosy – a Facebook lurker! How intriguing!

I looked into Facebook and MySpace because my friends at work wouldn't let me alone until I did. Actually made a MyS page just so I could get to see other peoples stuff. Looked through entries and replies like "Dude, you rock!!!!" and "Heh heh... he said balls" and "S'up?" over and over again until I got tired of it. Took about five minutes and I was done with both of them. I guess I'm just an old fogey that needs more substance with my intake. Mental fibre, as it were.

Wasn't there some "news" blerb on the radio Friday, about an online social network where your net worth has to be over (IIRC) $3mil?

When I heard that, I thought it's a great idea to have online social networks divided by social class.

I'm looking forward to one for rednecks. (You have to meet at least 2 of Jeff Foxworthy's "redneck" joke qualifications.)

Ye gads. I'd hate to see a bunch of aggravated antisocial semi-autistic corrections officers all trying to blog at the same time. That would get ugly quick. The Antisocial Social Network. Post a reply or get the @#**@&! out of my way!

Virtual cavity searches wouldn't be as much fun either. I mean you know you haven't really done a thorough job until you've had to don the 'calving gloves'

Twitter is growing on me.

I use FaceBook to facilitate local, face-to-face networking.

Never figured out Twitter & Facebook & Myspace not appealing to me. Have been considering an 'anti-social' net where the only ones who pay are those who log in & leave comments. Hoping to shoot for high quality type comments & egomaniacs yearning to be heard. Haven't figured out alla angles yet though.

Loopy they are time wasters and twitter is more for people that are too lazy to write a blog entry or read a lengthy entry.

Beth, guilty.

Darev, on that note we should all be against blogs as well.

Auntie, no, if I were you would be pinging me for a chat.

Walt that would be any Rush Limbaugh or Nascar forum.

g, and you definitely have some hotties as friends. Yes I've looked.

Trop, you will be disappointed in my future participation.

Mike, considering your lack of reliable blog post lately, I'd say you are working the anti social thing out pretty well.
