I recently realized that I have officially entered middle age because this year I purchased more sympathy cards than birthday cards.

I have had more friends out for surgery and stuff in the last two years than I have ever seen before. Trying really hard to avoid taking my turn.
Donna, I realize that. My mother tells me she's the only one left of all the people she knew.

yeah, my dad goes to funerals at LEAST once a month. He had to buy a new suit because the old one had been seen too many times...
The service I went to last weekend was the first I wore something other than jeans in the last five years.
My entrance into middle age was confirmed in exactly the same way. I now maintain a supply of sympathy cards waiting for the mail. Thought about addressing one for my own demise.
Maybe we should buy them in bulk.
