Jeff's Boots

I think I’ve only mentioned on the My Face thing, but I think it needs to be addressed here. I saw Jeff the other day and I’ll admit I’m usually oblivious to what people are wearing, but sometimes I notice when something is wearing someone. This was the case with the boots in the photo above.

When I saw Jeff, I asked him what the “F” he had on his feet and wondered if he had scored them in and abandoned homeless camp. He corrected me and said they were Mark Nason boots and he is a boot designer for Rock Stars. He got them for a very reasonable price. I told him that he is a blog star but that is still no excuse to be wearing fugly stuff like that.

Auntie L digs them and sent me this photo. I told Auntie that the only thing that could improve the look of those boots would be a fresh coat of vomit.

So dear readers I ask you to comment as to whether you would actually wear or be seen with someone wearing a pair of these boots. Jeff you are welcome to add your vision for making this choice. I just want to see where the vindication goes in this matter.

Be seen wearing them? No way. I have huge, hideous feet and I don't need to draw attention to them. Be seen with someone wearing them? I have no problem there; I've been through teenagers wearing outlandish stuff so often I don't care what you wear, as long as you wear SOMETHING.

Well, I’d definitely never wear them but as for being with someone who does? Depends on the rest of the body fitting into those boots! (Oh, yes, and his mind.)

Those be big-pimpin' boots and I think they are cool. Of course I am now trying to convince Jeff that he needs to buy a big daddy pimpin' car to go with. Like the the 1977 Lincoln Mark V Coupe or something like that.

Sorry Guy.
I would wear those hippy boots before I would wear thongs.

They merely look to me to be a shoe off Ross's shoe rack.

Great shoes most times but, once in a while....

This Mark Whosit claims to have designed them? He's a liar.

I had an uncle ... twice removed or somesuch ... who wore those boots. And he died over a decade ago.

People loved to hang with him, 'cause his were just REALLY old boots that he had worn in his cowboy days, and he always had the greatest tales to tell about tramping around the country.

If I wanted my feet to look like that all I'd have to do is dig through the dumpster behind the local goodwill store. I'd do that before I'd pay $300-$500 for a pair of those. Honestly, what some people will do to look "trendy". And things like that come along with statements like "I can't afford to pay you what I owe you this month, but look at these great boots I got!"
Twits.

I am truly humbled by your post about me and me boots. The picture really doesn't do it justice. It doesn't show the threads hanging off the faux worn part. Patrick, I didn't get them at Ross, but when I saw them in the store in Portland, I knew I had to have them. They are absolutely the fugliest pair of footwear I have ever bought. My wife loves them and when you get down to it, that's all that matters to me.

Jeff gets a strong endorsement from a cosmopolitan. Those boots may attract some young voters, Jeff.

Patrick, you must have good feet to be able to stand up to that cheep foot wear. I tried cheap shoes for a couple years when I was back in my 30s and they really messed me up, bad.
